  1. John, have you seen the testimony and papers that were presented in the case of State of California, City of Oakland v British Petroleum, Chevron, Conocophillips , Exxon, and Royal Dutch Shell? It's case number 3:17-cv-06011-WHA filed in US District Court, Northern District of California in 2017. Documents can be downloaded from the court's website which is what I did.

The judge ordered a two-part tutorial be presented to the court in order to educate the judge. The two parts were; “The first part will trace the history of scientific study of climate change, beginning with scientific inquiry into the formation and melting of the ice ages, periods of historical cooling and warming, smog, ozone, nuclear winter, volcanoes, and global warming. Each side will have sixty minutes. A horizontal time line of major advances (and setbacks) would be welcomed.”
“The second part will set forth the best science now available on global warming, glacier melt, sea rise, and coastal flooding. Each side will again have another sixty minutes.”

The tutorial took place and I am curious if you are aware of it, know what was presented, or what the parties expressed to the judge on the subject matter?

    All the best,

    Jeff Young
