From the CO2Science archive: Also known as Hyllanthus emblica Gaertn, this tree in India bears a sour fruit that, according to Wikipedia, was likened in ancient Buddhist writing to all wisdom: “O Bhagavan, the entire origination of all types of phenomena throughout time is within the range of your mind, like an ambalan fruit in the palm of your hand.” In which case knowledge shall increase as CO2 levels go up. In 2004 there were 8 experiments finding that an additional 300 ppm CO2 yielded an average 165% increase in above ground Emblic seedling biomass. Whether it increases the world’s knowledge or not, at least it bodes well for the abundance of this fruit.
