The effect of additional atmospheric CO2 on dill

30 Apr 2025 | Science Notes

From the CO2Science Archive: In 2018 there was a study, just one, showing that an additional 300 ppm CO2 in the air led to a 68% growth boost for Anethum graveolens, aka dill. Since we often report on much more obscure plants having been examined in multiple experiments over decades we aren’t sure why dill has been so overlooked, but the single result available does fit the pattern of plants loving their extra CO2.
