Oh nuts, more CO2

30 Oct 2024 | Science Notes

Specifically Arachis hypogaea L. or the humble peanut. In the CO2science archive we find that between 1993 and 2016 there were 46 experiments exposing peanut plants to an extra 300 ppm of CO2. The result was an average gain of 53% in dry weight biomass formation. So whether you like your peanuts dry roasted, boiled (no, really) or blended smooth and spread on your toast, with rising CO2 levels you will never have to worry about running out of them.

  1. I love these episodes of the climate discussions! I am 1000% with your arguments against the green idiots who think they know better, [they do but want people to be stupid], and make money! The left elites are ruining everything! Like the 'jab', they are roping people in to believing that there is a quick solution to everything! IT'S PAINFUL TO WATCH! Love to watch you take jabs at people who think they are right! Keep up the great work, never quit or they will win!
